Logistics Controller & Administrator
Job Purpose
To coordinate, monitor, and support the efficient movement of goods through the supply chain, ensuring accurate documentation, timely deliveries, and compliance with company procedures and UK regulations. Administrating full track of invoices, proof of delivery documentation and uploading all the information required.Key Duties and Responsibilities
Logistics & Operations

Coordinate inbound and outbound deliveries with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams

Monitor shipment progress and resolve delivery delays or discrepancies (Full Uk Driving license required with HGV categories)

Plan and schedule transport to meet customer and business requirements. (Able to driver so must own a car)

Track stock movements between warehouses, depots, or customers
Administration & Documentation

Prepare and process delivery notes, invoices, and shipping documentation
-
Maintain accurate logistics records on internal systems (ERP/WMS)
-
Ensure compliance with UK transport, health & safety, and customs regulations
-
File and manage proof of delivery (PODs) and transport documentation
-
Update systems with shipment statuses, costs, and stock levels
-
Provide all the required information to Transport Manager and Fleet Manager
Communication & Coordination

Act as a point of contact for drivers, hauliers, suppliers, and customers

Liaise with warehouse, production, sales, and procurement teams
-
Respond to customer delivery queries professionally and promptly

Escalate issues to senior logistics or operations management when needed
Stock & Cost Control

Assist with stock control, reconciliations, and inventory checks
-
Monitor transport and logistics costs to support cost-efficiency

Identify process improvements to improve delivery performance
Compliance & Health & Safety
-
Ensure logistics activities comply with company policies and UK legislation

Support audits and quality control processes
-
Promote safe working practices within logistics operations and maintain safety at Driving school activities in training yard.
Skills and Experience
Essential
-
Previous experience in logistics, transport, or supply chain administration
-
Strong organisational and time management skills
-
Good attention to detail and accuracy
-
Confident IT skills (Microsoft Excel, logistics or ERP systems)

Clear communication skills (written and verbal)

Full Uk HGV Driving license required minimum 1 year old.
Desirable

Knowledge of UK transport regulations and customs processes

Familiarity with warehouse or distribution operations
-
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths; A-Levels or relevant qualifications beneficial

Uk HGV driving experience minimum 1 year

Typical UK Salary

£25,000 – £33,000 per year, depending on experience & location
