Patiala Services Ltd T/A Harry Driving School proudly announce that we expand our business from Driving School to now Transport operator in Haulage. We are looking for HGV drivers who holds valid UK LGV/HGV license and we can provide training to become HGV instructor too if they interested.

We all know at the moment there is big shortage of LGV/HGV Drivers so we are recruiting staff from 21 years of age to above with new licence too. Our associates’ partners have valid insurance to cover young and new drivers.

Job description:

Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) drivers (formerly HGV drivers), collect, transport and deliver goods in rigid vehicles over 7.5 tonnes, articulated lorries and lorries pulling trailers.

Entry requirements of this job:

No formal academic entry qualifications are required. Must speak English, Hindi, Punjabi & Urdu and can read and write in English. They should have valid UK LGV Category C & CE on licence and LGV drivers of vehicles of 3.5 tonnes and over require a Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).

Tasks requried by this job inculde:

  • checks tyres, brakes, lights, oil, water and fuel levels and general condition of the vehicle;
  •  
    drives vehicle from depot to loading/unloading point;
  •  
    agrees delivery schedule and route with transport management;
  •  
    assists with loading/unloading and ensures that load is evenly distributed and safely secured;
  • drives vehicle to destination in accordance with schedule;
  •  
    maintains records of journey times, mileage and hours worked;
  •  
    undertakes minor repairs and notifies supervisor of any mechanical faults.

Salary and work timings:

  • we offering starting package of £26k for 39hours a week.
  •  
    Overtime after 39 hours will be paid by £15 per hour basis.
  •  
    Shifts patterns are morning and evening times on pro rota basis.
  •  
    Monday to Saturday on pro rota basis
